Coyote Hills Golf Course Wedding- Hannah & Gabe

We are thrilled to be able to show you this gorgeous wedding of Hannah and Gabe at Coyote Hills Golf Course just outside Los Angeles in Orange County.

Hannah and Gabe met on a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel in September 2016. ‘Ironically, Gabe didn’t want to try online dating and he happened to meet me within 2 weeks of signing up’ – says Hannah. The first thing Gabe said when they got matched was “What’s the longest you’ve ever waited for some food?” and that moment Hannah’s foodie heart knew this guy was serious about eating. It didn’t take long for Gabe to ask Hannah out on a date. That first date was the beginning of many of their foodie adventures!

Engagement

Fast forward to December 2, 2018. Gabe and I were celebrating our 2 year anniversary. We had planned for a lunch picnic on the beach after church then an Italian dinner later. I wanted to wear my In-N-Out sweatpants to the beach because I knew it’d be cold and plus, Gabe got them for me. Gabe insisted I dress nicer because he’ll be dressing up (he’s normally the more casual one). So, we had our picnic on the sands facing the ocean and moments later, Gabe had me stand up and led me back to the pavement towards the parking. There on the lot stood my family and his family. Gabe got down on one knee and said,

“You’ve always been home to me. I want that forever with you. Will you marry me?”

ugly crying ensued and never ended. I have photos to prove it. Of course, I said “yes!”

We really wanted to enjoy the California autumn weather and October was initially the first month we considered the moment we got engaged (December 2018). It helped that our venue had this available date as well!

We loved the outdoor ceremony area. The simplicity in the setting was what really hooked us.

When it came to planning this big wedding day, Gabe and I focused on good food & music (so an awesome dj was a must), photography, and ease of venue – which meant we wanted our ceremony and reception to be in one place for ease of transportation for everyone.

If I were to use two words to describe my wedding it’d be whimsical and romantic. I strayed from the one color palette and centered on autumn shades. Knowing all my bridesmaids were wearing different shades, I wanted my florals to be white. Classic and timeless, unifying the entire look. Pinterest, as with most brides, was an aid in brainstorming.

We especially incorporated our culture into the wedding by dressing up in Vietnamese and Filipino attire during dinner (a Vietnamese Ao Dai is what I wore, while Gabe wore a Barong Tagalog- he wore my culture while I wore his). We also had to include a boba station because it’s one of our favorite drinks. I couldn’t have done this without my amazing team, Radleigh + Sage. This multi-service events company beautified the ceremony altar and aisle and every centerpiece at the reception, along with coordination, and providing me and my guests with an amazing photobooth.

Gabe and I really fell in love with the outdoor ceremony. The waterfalls in the background and green arbor, it was breathtaking. We didn’t see ourselves getting married anywhere else.
